Hey FW Fans,
Its been almost a full month since we last wrote in. Did you miss us? lol We have alot to bring y'all up to date with.
So lets get to it.
After leaving the studio in January, we closed up in the FW studio and wrote 2 more tracks, which we felt should be on
the album. So , once again, on February 19th, we went back to rooftop records to record these songs for the album.
The first song, Bridge to Nowhere, was recorded in only a few takes. But as we started on the second song, Bad Day, we were
unable to bring it together enough to finish it, so we decided to scratch it. After recording Bridge To Nowhere, we decided
that come hell or high water we are done recording and are now ready to focus on mixing. And thats the next step in getting
the CD to you. Once we get the mixing done(which is gonna be another 360 dollars outta our pockets, donations are accepted
lol.) then its onto the duplication process.
This weekend also was big in the bands history; We played our first "show." We are sorry that we didnt write in and tell
you the directions and time and date and all that, but up intl the night before most of the band had absolutely no idea where
the actual show was gonna be. Other than a few minor mistakes, and some technical difficulties, we pulled off a pretty great
show, and it has inspired us and fired us up to wanna play more. And we are ready to announce the next major show. Faded Within
is coming.......to the Bogarts. Yup you heard it right. We are rehearsing and getting ready to play the yearly battle of the
bands located at the famous Bogarts club in Cincinnati. We are still a few months off so we have plenty of time to prepare
our show. We will announce the dates and times soon.
On a lesser note, we will have more pics up soon from the first show on saturday night(Feb 25th), and once we get the
necessary equipment, we will have some video of not only the show, but also from all of the studio visits. So check back soon
FW fans. we hope to have more stuff for ya.

January 23th,2006 Hey FW Fans, the most recent journal entry for this segment is actually the Bridge To Nowhere
Story on the main page. Just look for the link. We are taking a week off to rest up for some big practices next week. Stay
Strong FW fans, we'll be in touch soon.
J
January 5th,2006 FW FANS!!!!!! We have great news. We
finally have the dates set for when Faded Within will begin recording. We have been informed that the weekend we have been
pulling for,January 21st and 22nd,was open. I hadnt heard from grant
since our meeting last year(haha figured id say that, even though it was only a few short weeks ago.), so I emailed him to
see where we stood on that weekend. At the meeting, Grant said he would have to check that weekend but was pretty sure it
was in fact open. He emailed me back very quickly(I mean we're talking only a few hours) and told me that it was open and
to let him know if we wanted to move forward in booking the time. Not
3 minutes ago I just emailed him letting him know we are ready and do want to book this weekend. Faded Withinanites(I promise
I'll never use that name for you again, just thought I'd see how it looks lol) We are set. January 21st and 22nd, Bridge to
Nowhere Part 1 begins. Because
of the Holiday season there has been little to no practicing whatsoever going on at camp FW. And on top of that, my new baby
sister, Rebecca Faith Lutts, Was born early morning December 30th, around 2:14. So there has been a whole lot going on that
has inhibited us from practicing, but we have a practice scheduled for tomorrow, come hell or high water. We will definitely
have some pics of the practice, The first set of pics of us practicing in our new HQ. So come back soon for more.
J December 25th,2005
MERRY CHRISTMAS FW FANS!!!!!!!!! Its has been less then a week since
we have last wrote in and told you whats been goin down at camp FW. And while there are only two things new to tell you right
now, they both are HUGE. This past Tuesday, Zack wrote in and told you about the Email we received from Grant Cambridge,
ion which he said he wanted to set up a meeting with us to further discuss the recording process. On Wednesday(yes, only ONE
day later) Brian called grant and set the meeting up for the very next day. So we all road tripped to Rooftop Records(It was
a long road trip, taking almost FOUR minutes to get there), we were there a grand total of a half hour, in which time Grant
gave us a tour of the studio, explained the process, showed us the program he was using(they are actually getting new equipment
at the first of the year.) and let us listen to some artists who had recorded there, so we could hear for oursleves the amazing
quality that the studio could provide. He answered some questions we had, and then came the moment of truth. Since the beginning
we have always planned to try to get into the studio on the same weekend; January 21st-22nd,2006. When we told him that this
was the weekend we were hoping for, he broke it to us; that would probly be the only weekend he would have open. WE HAVE THE
SPOT!!!!! Ok, Im jumping to conclusions. He still has to make sure it is actually open, but he was pretty sure, and said he
would get back to me through Email. We left the studio absolutely(and understandably) pumped up, ready to scorch the earth
with our first album. We are all so excited about this, and we hope that you are too. Okay, now that was alot
to say for the first thing, this next big and exciting news doesnt need tha much of a story or introduction. We have the final
tracklisting of the album set in stone, and in order. We have been practicing these 7 songs and I fully believe that we are
very VERY close to being ready for the recording. We plan to tell you guys the final tracklisting of the album in
one week. So please come back soon, for more news and pictures,as we will be having FREQUENT practices and photo Ops over
the next 2 weeks.
what up FW fans
Its Zack the bass player. havent heard from me yet, have ya? Well this is the first time and
hopefully not the last. Wow our band has just recieved an early Christmas present; we have moved from the cold and packed
place of the garage to Jakes grandparents basement. After hours of begging and bribing we recieved the invitation to the roomy,
warm and comfortable basement where Faded Within will now be practicing. You will eventually get to see vido footage
of some new stuff we have came out with. no words yet, but complete musically (we're waiting for Bri to get back
on that.) We have came up with 6 songs in just one weekends time it is absolutely rediculous.
we also got an email back from Grant Cambridge, the engineer who'll be recording our CD, and he helped estimate a few
things about the price and recording process, and wants to set up a meeting to discuss the CD recording a little further. We
have gone nuts with our music process, and we are only getting started. But thats all for now and I wish all of our fans
a Safe Christmas and a Happy NEW YEAR
PEACE OUT!!

December 13th. 2005
Hey FW Fans,
I hate to say it, but as of right now there really isnt any news to give right now. Its been a few weeks of downtime
for FW. Last week we had planned to get together, but unfortunately the day we had set was the same day that the big snowfall
hit, stranding Brian at his house. So luck was not on our side there. But, we do have another scheduled practice for Friday,
Where we are going to rehearse the whole album through. We have to actually discuss the final listing, because as of right
now, we have decided that one track on the final list needs more time than what we have to give, so we have to go through
our catalogue, and see which song will be the perfect one to fill the void.
I have also put out an Email to Mark Gray from rooftop records, to see what type of things we need to provide him to make
the necessary things happen so that we can hoepfully get some time in his studio. We will let you know what happens as soon
as we hear back. Till then, keep coming back for more news and updates.
November 26th,2005
FW FANS!!!!!! We have alot to tell you this week. We had a practice friday, and lemme tell you we have made alot of progress
on the music of this first album. We only practiced for about an hour and a half, but through that we were able to finally
finish up the music, one of the last songs that really needed to be worked out. Now all thats left for this album before the
studio is just general practicing and making sure that all of us know our separate parts. Then we are ready FW fans.
We have been advertising to you since the beginning of this bands existence, we
have been telling you about our first album, bridge to nowhere. Since then we have attempted to release two demos already
independently, which we scratched almost right away. And even with the start of this album, it was originally planned to be
a demo, then an ep. and we had so much original material we were gonna release a second ep a few more months down the road.
But now we have made a final decision on how we plan to release our music; we are making a two part album. We are very excited
to announce that we have named both albums; Bridge To Nowhere Parts 1&2. The first album is the one that we are planning
right now, and the 2nd disc will be planned and hopefully recorded by summer 2006. Soon we will be posting the final track
list as they will appear on the album.
As you saw on the website, we have made a deadline for our artwork competition.
It has been a few months, and right now we have very few entries. So all of those waiting to enter or who arent sure whether
they are ready, there is still time.December 31st,2005 is the cutoff FW fans, we have made it that because we are planning
to make the album after the start of the new year.
November 20th,2005
Just thought Id write a short note to let you know that yesterday was an awesome practice FW fans. we only had about 2 and
a half hours, but in that short amount of time, we got almost ALL of the six songs worked out completely, and some more that
will be on the full album a few months from now. This has lifted alot of stress and tension off of us, knowing that we are
past the hardest part of getting the song worked out, and are pretty much ready to get this EP out to ya. Also, as you can
plainly see we have a new main page photo of the band. This picture was taken yesterday, right before we got down to business.
The slick red feature was done by Gabrielle Williams, picture taken by Zero.
The response from the acoustic version of Faded Within has been huge
since we first posted it on the site almost a month ago. Not only have we seen it on FadedWithin.com, but it has also
been immensely popular on other sites we are on, and also wehave heard just by word of mouth from people who have said that
they absolutely love the soft version. So, with that in mind, we have made the not-so-tough decision of completely dropping
the heavy version of Faded Within, and now it has become one of our acoustic songs.
November 7th,2005
Hey FW fans, Its been two weeks since we last wrote in, and I hate to say it, but there isnt a whole lot of practice news
goin on at camp FW. I(Jake) had exams this week and unfortunately that prohibited us from any chances of practices over the
past week. But I hope to write in again tomorrow or possibly the next day, as we do have a scheduled practice for tuesday
afternoon, since we are all free(and happy) again.
Outside of FW Studios, a few things have happened. I have some exciting news for all you FW fans looking to get your first
taste of live Faded Within; we are sending out "applications" to a ton of clubs around the areas of Cincinnati(OH), Covington(KY),
Newport(KY). We are so ready to get our music out to you. One of the "applictaions" was more of a request to the
Bogarts club in Cinci to see what we had to do to be able to play in their yearly Battle Of The Bands, but unfortunately we
missed the deadline for this years BOTB by a few months haha. So we missed out on this years, but were told that we can sign
up for the next one in May 2006. So that is something that we will hopefully be doing.
We have decided on when we are actually going to attempt to enter
rooftop to make the WEBN Demo. We have made a plan to get into the studio the 3rd week of January. Even though we have
scheduled this into our schedules, the whole thineg is based on whether or not we can get money together by then, and if that
week is open for the studio, Rooftop Records(Check em out at www.RooftopRecords.com). So we are hoping that everything will fall into place, because itd be stupid for us to contact the studio, and then not
have the necessary funds needed to be able to record. So right now while we wait we have been practicing our originals, and
narrowing down our pretty extensive list of ongs to 5. I think we have the final 5 to play, but we are not ready to announce
them yet, on the off chance that we change our minds. So be patient FW fans, we have alot of work cut out for us, even BEFORE
we start the studio experience.
We have a COUCH!!!!! lol okay so that may not seem like exciting news to you,
but we have been needing something like a couch to have down in FW Studios to give it more of a semi-comfortable existence.
We are always looking for places to sit while we practice. It had gotten to a point where we were sitting on baby chairs and
things like that, just so we can sit. On Halloween our manager and I were sitting outside, when my next door neighbor started
to drag a couch out of his garage. It looked brand new. Shadow(our manager prefers to remain nameless) jokingly replied that
hes giving away a couch. So I told him to run up and ask, being funny. He went up, and started jumping up and down excitedly
that he indeed was throwing it away. So I ran up there, and he(our neighbor) explained that its almost a brand new couch(it
even smelled new), but that he had just gotten another couch, and he had no more room for this one. So we were welcome to
it. SO shadow and I carried it down to the front yard, rearranged the studio just a little (This is a pretty big freaking
couch), and fitted it in just right. We will definitely have more photos for you soon, so I will make a plan to take a picture
of the beautiful piece of furniture, so you can share in the joy.
Thats it for now I think, We will hopefully check back in soon, to let you know what happened with the practice on Tuesday.
Peace,
FW(J)
October 13,2005
Hey FW fans,
A little change of plans for our upcoming EP releases; We will be releasing ONE EP in 2 days. We have had a hard
time with the production of LIVE AT WATERSIDE, and unfortunately because of time issues we wont be able to release this one
on that date. But we will have it up as soon as possible, and the acoustic cover cd COVER ME SOFTLY will still be available
Saturday. So be on the lookout for that anrd we will keep you up to date on the other EP as soon as we get it.
In case you havent noticed or seen, Faded Within
has been added to the amazing list of artists on Purevolume.com. For those of you who dont know, Purevolume.com is a website
where unsigned bands from all over the world can get their name and their music out all over the world. I have seen Bands
from Freaking Brazil on this site. This really is a big opportunity for the band, and we are very excited to be added to this
awesome list. And so you know, the more views our page gets on PV, the more notoriety we get in the site. So go check it out,
and help our name get out even faster.
Two days ago, I had a small meeting with Our manager, and
he gave me probably the most exciting news of my life. He told me that he had contacted WEBN about a show of theirs where they
give local rock bands from the Tri-State area(Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky) some airplay, and asked them how a band
would go about getting on the air. And they informed him that in about 7 months, their will be some openings
on the show and that we have been given the spot. This is amazing news, and I am absolutely stoked at this opportunity.
We are making plans to hit the studio earlier than scheduled so that we can record a few songs early and be able to send
them a studio quality single of some of our stuff.
So mark your calendars FW fans, in about 7 months FW hits the air.
Thats all for now, We'll be back soon.

October 3rd,2005
FW FANS!!!!!
Its only been 3 days since we last wrote in and told you what was goin on with the band, and in those 3 days more has
happened for the growth of this band than in its entire existence.
Saturday was an awesome practice day, despite the fact that Zack unfortunately was not able to come. We all worked really
hard on some new material Mark brought to us, and we turned it into yet another killer track. Mark also helped me arrange
and eventually record a demo of an instrumental I had been writing that I dedicated to my mother, titled Victoria. We
worked on some more original material as well , just to kind of refresh our memories with the material(this was the first
practice back in almost 2 months). And to cap it all off, we ran through some of our favorite acoustic songs, by the likes
of Pink Floyd and Staind. And when we were about to finish everything, I unveiled my own acoustic version of Blue Oyster Cults
"Dont Fear The Reaper." I had been working on this in my own spare time, and hadnt really thought about using it for anything,
till that point.
After we had finished up playing, we had a mini band meeting and discussed different ideas and merchandise plans for
the future. When the subject of making Demos to pass out came up, we all kinda got hit with the same idea; EP's. We needed
to make an EP. We would record it live at Faded Studios, and then convert it all and put out our own EP on our own label.
But then another idea came to me. Why make just one EP, when we could make two?
One of my favorite aspects of this band is that we not only rock hard, we know how to also rock soft. And one
thing I also love is our ability to pull off good acoustic songs by our favorite bands. So rather than put out just one EP
of our original songs, We will ALSO release another EP recorded live at FS of us doing some great acoustic covers. Evrybody
was on board so we planned to start making arrangements to practice for it next week. But then it was brought up that we should
just practice the very next day.
And thats exactly what happened. About 4 O' clock we reconvened right where we left off, this time with all
4 members of the group. We brought Zack up to speed on where we were headed, and he was into it whole heartedly. So I showed
him the song mark had brought us (Thirty Years From Now is the working title) and we went through it perfectly, in almost
one take. We worked on our older material as well, and after a bit we broke the acoustic guitar out again, and began to work
on the Acoustic EP. In about an hour we had two of the planned 5 songs done and ready to be pressed. We finished this amazing weekend
off dong that.
And even when I thought the good news would cease at least for a bit, today our manager informed me that he has an artist
working on our symbol and will most likely have it done(Final Mastered copy) by the end of the week.
FW Fans we are rolling along at full speed........
We promise to keep in touch soon.
FW(J)
September 30th,2005
We have a practice scheduled to meet back up and rehearse for tomorrow(Saturday). I am excited to get the band back to
normal and rolling again, and am anxious to get some new guitar licks Ive been working on turned into songs. It
may only be 3 of the 4 members,(Zack may have a wedding to go to,) but it will still be another step closer to the live development
of our show and original material, which is very important.
Our artwork competition has been underway almost 2 weeks, and we have had many people inform us that they are busy at
work on their ideas. So all you FW fans that have not entered yet, you have some competition. But dont give up and not enter,
because theres still time. Enter in today. We havent seen any artwork yet, but we know they are all gonna be great.
September 25th,2005
Nothing big and exciting to write in about the band AGAIN this week. We have taken a long break so that Brian could prepare
to live his one of his biggest dreams; Becoming a black belt. and as of September 24h,2005(yesterday), his dream is a reality.
Brian passed his black belt test and is now a head instructor for Shaolin Kempo Studios in Florence. We are all very happy
for Brian, and we hope that you are too.
And now that he has fulfilled that dream, we are in the clear again to begin scheduling more practices. So we are ready
to begin getting the FW show on the road again. SO we hope to be able to bring you some real news here soon. Keep coming back
FW fans.
Signed,
FW

FW FANS!!!!
It has been along time since we last wrote in and told you what was
goin on. I hope you didnt think we had disappeared. Because you would be very wrong. Unfortunately It has been quite some
time since our last practice, and we are becoming restless and are ready to practice again very soon. So plans to practice
for this coming weekend are in play. After a couple of weeks of waiting, we have received Kate Dillons awesome artwork. We
are very pleased with this artwork and hopefully soon we will be able to have it posted up on the website. So definitely be
on the lookout for that.
Sometime in the not so distant future our Bio's will be going under
construction. None of us like to brag about ourselves, its just not our style. So we came up with an idea to have someone
do the bragging for uis. Someone very close to the band has taken all of our information and musical history, and will be
turning it into a second person style biography. I personally am very excited about this and cant wait for them to be developed.
In case you havent seen the media section lately, we have added another
demo into our selection. "Inside," our first acoustic track, is all about the feelings and pain one goes through from just
having their heart broken by the person they love. This is a song I am very proud of, because it is a song written from experience,
which really is where the best lyrics come from. Music By Jake, Lyrics by Brian, Jake, and Zack.
There is talk within Camp FW about the earliest possible time to
get into the studio and record. We hopefully have plans for the coming spring, but it is very likely thats is to change. As
for now, everyone within the band is busy writing lyrics and coming up with music, so that we are more than ready to get into
the studio and kick out our first album.
Thats it for now, come back soon for more news.

WHATUP FW FANS!!!!
This has been an amazing week or so for camp FW. We have not one,not two,but
THREE original songs done completely. All week Brian Mark Dave and I have been pouring over ideas and music that we have written
to be able to get that much closer to Faded Within's first cd. One of which, right now titled, "Star"(actual title coming
soon), was taken from a jam session that featured hoss on drums. This song was written during some downtime between actual
rehearsal. We now have lyrics for it, but at the time we had none, so April sarcastically suggested we just sing twinkle twinkle
little star over it.Thus gives you the title "star."Another one of the songs we wrote this week is a big statement for us
as a band. "Its Not Right" is a song that shows you the fans that we do not limit ourselves to any one genre or style of music.
Even punk. This is a great song with amazing vocals, and we are very proud to bring it to you. To hear a demo of
this and Star, go to the media section. Soon we will have some more artwork posted on the site provided by the lovely Kate
Dillon. She was kind enough to proffesionalize a sketch done by brian and we will have it posted up soon.
August 20,2005(Jake)
This has been an absolutely HUGE
week for Faded Within, as well as the website. We have added lots of pics, and today actually had our first full band photo
shoot. Some of these pics are posted now, many more to come.If you havent noticed yet, We have FINALLY become able to bring
you audio to listen to. This is a huge step for us, helping us to get out to the people. Faded Within is not only coming,
but we are pretty much here.
Almost a full week of practices
and writing has led us to be able to record our first complete original. Simply Titled "Faded Within" , we are all very proud
of this song and are in a huge rush to bring you the complete track. Till then we have two clips of the song for you to enjoy.
We posted Both clips because in one its really easy to hear Bri's vocals, and in the other its easier to hear the music. So
that is the reasoning.
This week also
gave us extra equipment, as Brian has acquired a 170 CAD Microphone. This Mic has incredible sound, and will help you to hear
his voice clearly and easily.
August 11,2005(Jake)
Hello FW
Fans,
Not much goin
on at camp FW. This was a busy week for the whole band, and we were forced to take yet another week off. So unfortunately
there isnt to much to write, except that we now have the money needed to purchase the program that is finally gonna help
us bring Faded Within's music to the website. I am very anxious to get the ball rolling on that, and bring our
music to you. So be on the lookout for that.
Thats it for now, Peace out.
August 4th,2005(Jake)
Hello FW Fans,
Well its been a week of downtime for the boys in FW. There was only
one short practice at the beginning of the week, but it was very productive. We wrote music to two originals and have almost
completed the final set list for our first show. Due to some problems with some of the songs we were forced to drop two of
the covers off of the set list, leaving us a few songs down from our full set. We are currently in the process of finding
the perfect songs to fill the spot, and I will be posting the complete set list soon.
As you saw (more heard) on the web page we have opened up the option
of audio for the webpages on the site. At the beginning of the week, I had obtained some software that was going to help us
get our music onto the site.Unfortunately, the software went wrong, and we are STILL unable to post our own music on the site. But
till then, we will be posting some music by bands that are most influential to our sound.
In the past couple of weeks, I have been trying to find the
right bit of music I had been writing to become what will hopefully be our soft song for our first album. After a few weeks,
and long nights trying to get a few together, I have finally found one. So far only a handfull of lyrics have been written
for it but I am really excited about that, and am trying to get it completed so we can add a song to our repetoire and get
us one step closer to putting out our first cd.
I think thats it for now. Stay tuned for more.
July 26th,2005(Jake)
Hello FW Fans,
Well its been another week, and ill bet your asking yourselves,"Hey,
what have the boys in FW been up to?" Well here you go. In the past week, we have been busy tring to get our chops together
for our upcoming show. We have gotten a list of covers together, which include 2 songs by Metallica, One Green Day song, An
MxPx song, and a System Of A Down song(sung by yours truly.) Actual set list coming soon.
We are all in very high spirits and our really slavin
away to try and make the best Faded Within we can. A scheduled rehearsal for Saturday was cancelled for circumstances
beyond our control. But we are in the process of trying to schedule another one VERY soon, so we can hopefully go through
our entire set list and get some full band photos, which will be in the photos section before you can say, "Faded
Within." There will be pics of the practices, and hopefully publicity shots too.
Work for the new album is also going underway. Brian
and I had an allnite session writing lyrcis and guitar lines for the album, with amazing results. We will bring you more
as it happens, and hopefully soon be able to provide you some audio, maybe even VIDEO of our practice sessions. Stay tuned
for more.
July 20th,2005(Jake)
Hello FW Fans,
Faded Within is currently gearing up and getting ready for our
first show. The show will take place October 8th, and we will be on the bill with such acts as Sonic Youth and Evolution Of
The Static. The location of the show is undetermined and we will be bringing you more infromation as we get it.
We are also currently in the early stages of writing our
first album. We have many songs done lyrically, but as far as musically they are still in development. We only have one completed
song and are writing more at a quick rate.We hope to be able to post some sound bytes up on the site soon, so stay tuned for
that.
